About El Dorado County

El Dorado County is at the heart of California’s Gold Rush country, often called the “Mother Lode.” Folsom Lake and rolling foothills are on our western border with Sacramento County. Lake Tahoe and 10,000 foot mountain peaks are on the eastern border that we share with the state of Nevada. Within these borders are great rivers, lakes, gold mines, historic towns, incredible views and everything that nature has to offer.

El Dorado County is just 30 miles east of Sacramento, California’s State Capitol and only 40 miles west of Carson City, Nevada’s State Capitol. San Francisco lies 125 miles to the west and Reno is a mere 50 miles to the northeast of the “Golden Country.”

Here are some of the organizations that we proudly support…

CASA EL DORADO

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA El Dorado recruits, trains and supports volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes and placed into foster care. Children who have a CASA advocate spend less time in foster care, receive more services and are half as likely to end up in long term foster care. The overwhelming majority of these children are less than six years old and truly need the love and support of our advocates. Box Lunch proceeds ensure children in need will be matched with a caring advocate.

EL DORADO COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS

Placer Title Company is a proud supporter of the El Dorado County Association of Realtors (EDCAR). Through EDCAR we participate in community outreach programs such as Honor Our Troops, which sends care packages to active military deployed in war zones and they offer home buyer scholarship programs for active military and veterans purchasing homes in El Dorado County.  We participate in an annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser, Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, and quarterly care package assembly and shipping. We also participate in The Annual EDCAR Golf Tournament which donates thousands of dollars to various community charities like The Boys and Girls Club, New Morning Youth and Family Services, The Center for Violence Free Relationships, Animal Outreach, and numerous others.
